The One That Got Away…

It’s not like this hasn’t happened to me before.

The feeling of finding the missing link. And then missing the opportunity. The lingering feeling of regret. Knowing it was your fault.

First it was my 16th birthday. The orange Kipling bag reduced in TK Maxx. We put it back, realised our mistake, went back to buy it. But it had gone. Never to be seen again.

Now the black lace dress. I found it in H&M. Been looking for one that fits for ages.

Went to buy it.

MY CARD WAS DECLINED.

So, what could I do?

I told myself I’d buy it online, but it still hasn’t appeared. *sob*

It looked a bit like this, but with long loose sleeves:

And like this, but fitted, black with full length sleeves:

I can’t even go back and buy it, because the shop is 3 hours away! *sadface*

Even though I live my life by:

“Never regret anything, because at one point it was exactly what you wanted”

I can’t seem to apply it here. I wanted that dress! But apparently my mother was right… I “want” gets nothing.
